Recently Bar Clarke was nominated to serve as the Vice-President for Education and Training of the Independent Educational Consultant Association. With over 900 members, IECA is the largest and most prestigious organization for IEC's worldwide. While this new position will require a great deal of time and effort on Bar's part, he is both honored and humbled by his nomination, and is looking forward to working hard on behalf of all IECA members.
Travel is a huge part of being a member of IECA. To maintain membership we must constantly be on the road looking at new schools and programs. In addition to exploring new programs, we must also revisit ones we've been to before to be kept abreast of new and exciting developments. March program visits included Safe Harbors for Women, Visions Treatment Centers and Sober College in CA and New Roads Treatment Center, Discovery Academy (and Connections), Center for Change, Catalyst RTC and Eva Carlson RTC in UT.
The Loeta Educational Consultants monthly e-newsletter has just started its second year of distribution. While we know have now joined many small companies who have these newsletters, we like to think ours is different. Those of you who receive our newsletter know that unlike many which fill you in on events within the company, our newsletter’s primary purpose is to stimulate discussion.
Each month we post an article or two which we feel is relevant to our field; we are excited that folks are reading these articles and passing them along to others. We now have over 200 people on our mailing list, and by the end of 2011 we'd like to see that number increase by 100.
So if you, or someone you know would like to start receiving our newsletters, please send us an email at info@loetaeducation.com indicating so, and we will happily add you to our ever growing list.
